PerSe, Inseparable 2021

Founded in 2012, PerSe is the passion project of Edgardo (Edy) del Popolo and David Bonomi, trailblazers on the Argentine wine scene. Wanting to start up a boutique project based in the Uco Valley, their chosen terroir was the high altitude vineyards of Gualtallary, in their opinion the most interesting area within the Uco Valley. PerSe have made a real name for themselves for such a young winery for producing extraordinary wines of unmistakable personality. Inseparable 2021 is made from 100% Malbec, the grapes of which come from the lower part of PerSe’s incredible El Monasterio vineyard in Gualtallary, which still sit at a whopping 1500m above sea level. The soils here have less limestone and the wines are fermented and aged in special concrete tanks David has designed. It’s bright, pure and supple with juicy red cherry, plum and violet on the nose. The palate is very bright and intense with notes of fresh blueberries, mint and black plum; fine grained tannins and an elegant finish round this spectacular Malbec off wonderfully well.
